Takizawa Mining Works is located at the foot of Mt. Azumadake (elevation of 684 m) in eastern Aomori City. Operation of the facility started in August of 2009 to produce silica rock under the brand name of Takizawa Silica Rock. The annual production capacity of this facility is 300,000 tons. The product shipped from Aomori Port is mainly used by cement and steel manufacturers.

Located in Kanuma City, Tochigi Prefecture, Tochigi Mining Works produces the high-quality Nikko Silica Sand brand of artificial silica sand. Granular silica rock is mined from the Mizuki Mine and then screened by the Awano Plant.

Located in Yoshii Town, Ibara City, Okayama Prefecture, Yoshii Mining Works supplies limestone to JFE Steel Corporation for use in iron and steel making at their West Japan Works locations.

Located in Tsukumi City, Oita Prefecture, the Tsukumi Plant is perfectly situated facing the Tsukumi Bay. This plant produces limestone products and aggregates using crude limestone supplied from Todaka Mine (Todaka Mining Co., Ltd.). These products are used by JFE Steel Corporation as auxiliary materials in steelmaking. Aggregates are used in construction processes.

Kanuma Mine is located in Itaga Ward of Kanuma City in Tochigi Prefecture. Awano Saiseki Co., Ltd. was established in September, 2009 as a joint venture between JFE Mineral Co., Ltd. and Tokai Kogyo Co., Ltd. The annual production capacity is 240,000 tons. Silica rock used as material in autoclaved lightweight concrete (ALC) is the primary product transported by truck.

We have a long history of establishing new overseas businesses. In the Philippines, our subsidiary, Philippine Mining Service Corporation (PMSC) operates a dolomite mine in Cebu Island and a limestone mine in Bohol Island, and Visayas Slaked Lime Corporation (VSLC) operates a slaked lime factory in Mindanao Island.
In Australia, we established JFE Mineral (Australia) Proprietary Limited in 1989 and have invested in the coal mine industry in eastern Australia.
We also have extensive experience in the mineral import business including operations, maintenance, and management.
